Thacher is a 22-year-old creative whose design journey began as a self-taught
high-schooler, turning freelance design gigs into a full-time company before college.
As a Tisch Scholar at NYU, he studied Interactive Media Arts, where hands-on, immersive work brought a new dimension to his previously digital work. After his freshman year, Thacher was invited to join Apple’s renowned design team in California. He chose to pause his university studies and remain at Apple throughout what would have been his sophomore year.
His path then led to Paris, where he secured an entrepreneurial visa and joined the fast-rising creative studio Services Généraux as a Senior Art Director. There, he led visual direction and image-making across campaigns for brands including Arc’teryx, Nike Jordan, Coinbase, Wu-Tang Clan, Glossier, and Hennessy. The following year, based on his previous success, he returned to Apple for an 18-month contract extension.
Now back in New York, Thacher is building Tchatcheuse, a studio at 255 Canal St. that fosters creative alchemy, where ideas from different disciplines come together to amplify one another.
